Compassion for Humanity is a Ghanaian registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) that provides social services to underpriviliged communities and families by educating their children. Our arears of operation are education, health and vocational skills. We are situated in Adawso-Akuapem, one of the poorest slum communities within the Akuapem-North metropolis.
Emmanuel Nkrumah started C4H in 2004 after a visit to his family in rural Eastern Ghana. He began with one computer and two boxes with books. Since then it has evolved into a school with a full curriculum, an apprenticeship programme.
"During my visit I saw the situation of the community, with no clean drinking water, no electricity and no school available. Children had to walk for two and a half hours or more tot get to school. That is when I decided I wanted to do something to help these children to improve their future."
Emmanuel Nkrumah, Founder and Director.
