Emmanuel Nkrumah started C4H in 2004 after a visit to his family in rural Eastern Ghana. He began with one computer and two boxes with books. Since then it has evolved into a community building with a small library and computer facilities, a primary school and an apprenticeship program.

"During my visit I saw the situation of the community, with no clean drinking water, no electricity and no school available. Children had to walk for two and a half hours or more tot get to school. That is when I decided I wanted to do something to help these children to improve their future."

Emmanuel Nkrumah, Founder and Director.
